A Few Sunday Bargains

Well here we all are post-Derby with the general malaise that goes with it. If I had any energy today I would make ice cream out of my homemade yogurt, make a sourdough bread starter, organize my office, make a pot of black bean chili, change the bed, go for a two mile walk, call my brother and wish him a happy anniversary, finish planting my pots, get some tomato plants and run the dishwasher.
So far I've run the dishwasher. But I have written 1600 words on a story I'm working on so that's a good thing. My body may say no but my mind is running 95 miles per hour.
So here are a couple of bargains to get you going today and I'll be posting later about the winners of the giveaway and more on homemade yogurt and our trip to Cincinnati.

  • KMART is doing super double manufacturer coupons up to .75 this week. This is for the Louisville area and I know these vary by week and region so check your ads!
  • Kellogg's cereals are on special at CVS this week. They are 3/$10 and you get $5 back on extra bucks. Dig up some of those cereal coupons and this could be a great deal. Flavors include Frosted Flakes, Smart Start, Frosted Mini-wheats, and Special K.
  • Walgreen's has a coupon for a free 8x10 enlargement good for online or in-store. Great for Mother's Day gifts and valid only on Wednesday, May 6.
  • Walgreen's also has free Colgate toothpaste for sensitive teeth. The 4.6 or 6 oz. size are pay $4.49 get $4.49 back on register rewards. I am terrible about these and would just turn right around and use the $4.49 on something else immediately. To make the deal ever better pair with a Colgate coupon or print one here to make this a moneymaker.
  • If you are shopping at the Rite-Aid this week, take your $5 off $25 purchase coupon with you. There is usually one of these around so never go without one. Thanks to southernsavers.com for the heads up.
  • Also from Southern Savers, here is a coupon for $10 off of a purchase of $30 or more. Also a free 3 0z. body lotion with any purchase.
  • And last but not least, White Castle is offering a coupon for a free pulled pork slider. I'm not sure how I feel about this as I am a purist when it comes to Whiteys. I'm not yet over the introduction of chicken and fish sandwiches. But, free is free. Enjoy!
